General Scope of Duties |
The role of the Group Mentorship Coordinator is to perform a variety of administrative tasks, and oversee the execution of the program. The role of the Group Mentorship Coordinator include:
- Meeting with community partners and stakeholders at the HWDSB to establish parameters for year two of this program, such as dates of each session, field trip requirements, and other logistics as needed.
- Planning out a minimum of (1) group mentorship session a month until June to occur at Bernie Custis Secondary school, Westdale High School, and Cathedral High School.
- Creating a pre-evaluation plan with the students, and a post evaluation plan, in order to measure success of year two of this program.
- Planning off site field trips for the group mentorship program, such as a trip to Queens Park, the Woodland Cultural Centre, and others as deemed appropriate.
- Managing the program budget, and facilitating the program sessions or securing a facilitator as needed.
- Assisting in daily office needs and in accordance with the direction of the executive director.
- Working with the One-to One mentorship Program Coordinator to ensure collaboration throughout the school year.

- Updating the HCCI monthly calendar with sessions as it relates to our mission, vision, and values.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
The ideal candidate should have:
- Relevant experience as a Program Coordinator
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- High School degree
- Graphic design skills are not required but would be a plus
